8 miles today.  I ran on the treadmill.  I did a pretty fast work out.  I was happy with the speed.  I've gone from doing 9 workouts a week to three a week sence the half triathlon.  My fat butt has gained 10 pounds!!!!!

8 miles today.   There have been a lot of runners out here lately.  It's kind of nice to pass them from time to time.  I passed and talked with an older lady today who was out running.

I feel ready for the St. George.  I can't wait to run with my wife.  I'm actually going to enjoy the run this time, instead of being so focused on a time and killing myself to catch it.  I'm sure I'm not done with speed.  I'm already starting to feel the itch.  I may try for another PR within the next couple of year, we'll see.

I've got my department physical fitness test on Monday.  It'll be fun beating those guys.  I'm going to run in a new region this go around.  I'm excited to get some new competition.  It'll be like running a new race.  I may even get smoked.  I love the department run and the timed push ups.  I'm going for 100 in 60 seconds.  I did it this morning, so I should be good.

Good news.  I've lost 6 pounds in the last 4 days.  I've been eating out a lot and have had a lot of soda lately.  I guess I had a lot of crap that needed to come out of the system.  I'm trying to detox the system for the next couple of weeks.
