30 minute swim.

Can't wait for the race this Saturday.  I hate tappering down.  I have so much built up energy.

10 easy miles on the bike, in the rain.  20 minute swim.  I won't be working out again until the race or updating by blog until the 13th.  Wish me luck.  I'm off to conquer the world!!!

A very good race in my opinion.  I didn't have much to go on as far as what was good or not.  I raced well and felt good and tired at the end.  It must have been a good race.

The swim started a little late with a 1.2 mile swim.  I started towards the back, because I didn't want to get kicked to death.  I'm not a strong swimmer.  I tbecame apparent when the race started that it didn't matter where one started, you were going to get kicked to death anyway.  People are pretty aggressive in the swim.  People were grabbing my ankles and swimming right over my back.

I finished the swim in 47 minutes I believe, 30th in my age group.

The bike was awesome.  It was fast and pretty flat.  I felt good the entire ride.  I really conserved and ended up finishing the bike in around 2:39 I believe.  Around 20 miles an hour.  I finished the bike 26th in my age group

It was apparent on the run that triathletes are not runners.  Everyone looked dead tired.  I just kind of took it easy for 13.1 miles and averaged 7:45 a mile.  I passed about 100 people on the run.  I finished 4th overall in my age on the run and 10th in my age group overall.

Now that I've done my first triathlon and know what it's like, I think the next can be a lot faster.  I conserved too much througout.  Overall I'm happy.
