Went with the boys on a run through a local canyon. Went out 3 miles on the Garmin at 6:30 pace and came back in 16:54. Mile 2 and 3 were 5:30 and 5:20 and I was pleasantly surprised that I haven't lost all my conditioning - I felt like I could keep it up for another 2 or 3. Also, it's clear to me that training at even the 4500 feet of Provo is significantly different than here. The relative ease or difficulty of different paces has obviously shifted from what it was at altitude. |
