Decided to give the leg a good test with 8 easy miles. It seemed to hold up fine, so I'm feeling happy. The heat wave was almost too much, though, even in shorts and a T-shirt. It was a great feeling to be on the trail again, although I feel that I've lost quite a bit over the last week or two. I'm thinking that 55 miles next week followed by 65 miles the week after is a good plan to get back to where I was. Maybe the middle of the 65 mile week I can try a tempo run and see how things feel. |
