So, I have a bit of bad news. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease couple years ago, and I've been healthy for the last 10 months or so, but I'm feeling some pains these days. Last year, I had a similar experience where I started having attacks after some of my runs. I tried to muscle through it but I ended up in the hospital with my intestines swollen shut and had to have a section surgically removed. Probably more than you wanted to know, but I'm worried about it happening again. The pains are reminiscint of last year.
Ragnar may have been a little too much stress on my system, so I'm taking a little time to recoup. I was really hoping for a good cross season, but it's going to be too late to get back in great shape for tryouts. Anyway, I'm sure things will be fine, I just need to stay healthy. |

Did my first run back with a painful 4 miles. Amazing how fast you lose fitness, I'll be sore this whole week getting back into it.

Alright, it's time to get serious again. It was so nice to relax for a little bit I've gotten lazy. Today's run was nice, though. 30 minutes of summer night air has me wanting to do more. Although, now that I've moved to Provo, I'm not so excited about the scenery. Not that Springville is so great, but the canyon was relatively close and I could run up it any time I wanted. I'm not a fan of Provo's streets, it's kinda ugly. I might have to start driving places for my runs.

I got out today at the worst possible time and got to run in the heat of the day. 5 miles along the Bonneville Shoreline trail, which I'm growing increasingly more fond of.

5.1 miles on my south Provo loop. I've got family over this week, but once they're gone I think I can start adding the doubles again.
