Painful 1.6 miles.  I walked and jogged... and now I'm wondering if it was a bad idea.  I wanted to stretch it out a little bit before the race weekend.

Oh, shute!! I am sorry. Take it easy and do what your body needs (I know, none of us really listen to our bodies!!!)

What is the race this weekend?

It's Outrun the FBI - 5K. It looks like a lot of fun, and the money raised by it will go toward shutting down internet preditors. I love that cause. Anyhow, I wanted to PR but instead I'll be limping.

Not good news. Have you considered sitting this one out?

From Camille on Tue, Nov 04, 2008 at 09:51:30

:o( I've thought about it.... but it makes me sad to think about.

Oh, and the way I've been downing sweets the last few days, without running, I'm going to be the StaY Puff Marshmellow Woman here soon.

Maybe you could just walk it really fast???

That is a GREAT cause.

What the? I leave you alone for one week, and this is what happens! I'm so sorry about your injury. (But on the bright side, we could still train together, yea!) We should go for a nice long walk! It'd be oodles more fun with you. Hey, I have to warn you...everything I've ever read about groin injuries has been that they can become VERY problematic and can last forever. Please don't try to run if it hurts!!! It is uber important to not injure it furthur! You may have to let the FBI win this one. You'll get 'em next time!

Hey, I know what you mean about stay puff! Im so bored right now. Im glad ive been able to sleep. Ice yourself down, stretch, and you'll be fine.

From Camille on Tue, Nov 04, 2008 at 18:17:52

Lybi - we SHOULD go walking together. That would be good. Brandon would be excited to get me out of the house and around other female adults. This injury (and a few other things) have put me into a little bit of a depression. I think Brandon would push me out the door if he knew that we were going to do something.

Walter - That's what my dr. said too... great minds, I guess! I'm sorry your bored. :o( How long do they expect your recovery to take?

I was going to say ice, rest and stretch too. My mind is great like Walter's, I guess! (hey...)

I know how depressing it can get, try not to let it get you down.

I can always cheer you up with more goofy or terrible pictures, or stories of dumb things me and Mike have done :)
