I did it! :o)

My 13 year old niece wanted to run with me, so I sent her the information and she registered.  She wanted to race me.  I kept telling her that I just had a baby and would be really slow... but she insisted.  (silly girl...)  Well, she creamed me (no surprised).  Her dad (my brother in law) decided today that he wanted to participate as well.  He did a great job.  Here is a before picture of us:

Here is Melanie running after the racers:

Melanie crosses the finish (1st one too!):

Hannah finished in 25 min, 54 seconds (placing 2nd in her age divison)

Elliot finished in 27 min, 4 seconds

I finished in 28 min, 54 seconds (placing 4th in my age divison) We had a blast!

It looks like you had a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love that your baby was running after the racers.

Thanks you guys!

Burt - I saw the mistake with your math, but figured you meant sub 10's. :o) I'm really happy with my time. It's a good place to start, and it's faster than my first race ever, which is kind of nice.

April - Thank you! You should see Melanie run. It's a riot. Her little legs fling all over and her arms are pumping. It's too cute.
