Today, it just wasn't in the cards for me to run.  This week has not been a big milage week, but there is always next, right?  Last night I took Melanie to the doctor because she was getting worse instead of better.  It turns out she has a Hand, Mouth, Foot virus.  (NOT FUN!)  She has been miserable all day.  I hate it when she is sick.

This morning I finished her Halloween Costume, and she was nice enough to let me put it on her.  She is an old fashion Strawberry Shortcake!  Too cute!

I couldn't resist.  I had to take a picture from behind.  I made her hat so big that from behind she looks so cute and silly!

Ok, I'm probably going to die from all that cuteness. The giant hat is PERFECT.

Dress her that way every day, not just for Halloween!

One year Amanda went as Little Bo Peep and Madeline was her sheep (lamb). They were 4 and 1. I'll have to show you the pictures. I wanted to make Amanda wear dresses like that all the time.

That is the cutest baby costume I have ever seen though. Ever.

I just read the first part of your blog (I'm recovering from the cuteness overdose), and Maddy had that when she was 3, I think. It was awful, and the symptoms lasted over a month :(

I hope Melanie does better than Madeline did. She looks very happy in those pictures, so hopefully she's on her way to a quick recovery... Hang in there, I know sick babies break your heart.

Rachel - Thanks for the compliments. Brandon had suggested in August that Melanie should be Strawberry Shortcake because she is such a red head. I looked around for a costume and everything was for the new Strawberry Shortcake. I like the original better. So I had my mom teach me how to sew so I could make her costume. It turned out really cute.

I think she was extra happy in those pictures because Grandpa Smithson had just stopped by. She has a special place in her heart for her Grandpa. It's too cute!

I would love to see Amanda and Maddy as Little Bo Peep and the Sheep. Too Cute. When me and my brother were younger, mom made us matching costumes all the time. He was Peter Pan, and I was Tinkerbell once. And Once he was a Magician and I was a rabbit jumping out of a hat. I hope I'm that creative when I have more than one baby.

OH MY GOSH!!! That is the CUTEST thing I have EVER seen! You have got to get her picture taken in that AMAZING costume! Holy cow! I miss my little girls. They are BIG teenagers now and not anywhere as cute as that anymore ;) Enjoy her! I adore my girls, but there are NO strawberry shortcakes in my future! :( Thanks for making my day!

Prom night??? What??? She isn't allowed to date until she is 30!

From montelepsy on Sun, Oct 26, 2008 at 12:10:59

Rachel! Go distract Camille. Whilst you two are jabbering about decorating, baking, running or whatever you ladies talk about, I'll grab the shortcake!

Mike... I'm keeping my eye on you!
