I woke up a tiny bit late this morning, and so I shortened my bike route.  I thought I had shortened it by 4 miles (I typically ride 10 miles), and when I got home, I was so discouraged with my time.  35 minutes to ride 6 miles.  I was starting to think *I* could have run fast (not really... but it felt that way), but when I mapped it, it turned out that I had biked 7 miles.  5 minute mile.  It's still slow, but given the head wind I was fighting, and that I was on a mountain bike, I feel pretty good about it.  I hope everyone else had a good morning!

Okay, do I didn't take Melanie with me this morning, but this is a picture of my cute Melanie ready for a bike ride.  If that isn't inspirational, I don't know what is. :o)

***Added***

This afternoon (pre-dinner) Melanie and I decided to go for a short run.  I was inspired when I went out to get my mail (with Melanie in my arms) and she got super excited to be outside.  Since it isn't all that hot out, it was a good day for us to "hit the road".  Melanie clapped and gabbed the first two miles, but then started getting real tired.  That's when we decided to head home.

From Camille on Sat, Sep 13, 2008 at 18:43:01

Soon? ha! She already has the firery (spelling?) additude of the typical redhead. Whoever says a baby doesn't know what they want is SO wrong. LOL. Too bad she just can't tell me what it is.

Hey, you got your mug shot on here! Nice! I recognize that park! We were the first ones in there and gone before anyone showed up to cheer us on! Lol We actually got there when they were setting up the finish line! Good to have a face with the blog. Now we just have to throw a blog party when we get down there for del sol or R&R arizona!

yeah, no doubt about knowing what the heck they are screaming about. My 6 year old still does that so I have to baby her and remind her how old she is. Fun stuff!

From camille on Sat, Sep 13, 2008 at 19:23:03

Walter, I don't think that's the same park. The mug shot picture is from today's race, in Glendale. I thought the ragnar ended in Scottsdale. (I could be wrong). You do recognize the shirt though. That's one of my favorite running shirts.

From Walter on Sat, Sep 13, 2008 at 19:54:56

Your right Camille! It did end up in Scottsdale. So if thats a current photo, you need to work on that tan woman! lol jk I would be white also from that heat because my miles would be in the dark.

A blog party would be fun. I think we have put a team together, so I'm excited to say I'll be able to participate again. (And this time I should be ready).
