Happy Thanksgiving Eve.  So, I haven't done anything productive today (as working out goes).  I think I'm starting to get sot around the middle (though my scale says I'm the same, I don't feel the same).

I wanted to give everyone a sneak peak at the cake I made for Thanksgiving.  Dad asked me to make a cake that looked like Thanksgiving.  It's a spice cake with apple filling.  I made everything you see, and everything is edible.  (Yum!)  I hope Dad likes it.  I just found out that I'll be making more than the cake.  Apparently he wants me to show up early so I can make dinner as he "helps" me.  What a comedian!

***Added: Did my yoga (without the help of my 11 month old this time :o) ), and decided to do a little assessment of my own (copying Mike).  I gave myself 2 minutes...

70 crunchies (I can't do a full situp)

21 girlie pushups.  (That's 20 more than I actually thought I could do...)

I also did my ab workout.  :o)  I'm missing running.  Everytime I see someone out side running, I get a little sad.  I'm thinking next week maybe.  Maybe 2 miles, at a slow pace, like Teena is?

***Added more...  14.1 miles on my dad's exercize bike.  I think that's the most action that bike has seen.  Totally joking (or am I?)

Don't forget to bring it like last time. Everybody, Camille made this cake so we could eat it after our half marathon, and then she forgot to bring it. I was so bummed out!! (But I forgave her.)

From Camille on Wed, Nov 26, 2008 at 12:26:28

That was a depressing experience. I couldn't believe I forgot that cake! I won't forget this one this time. :o)

Thank you! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving

Beautiful cake!! I love making cakes. There are usually more pictures of the cake than the birthday girl every year... (I'm getting better about that...)

Good idea on the test you gave yourself. I'm going to copy you. I wish I had done that when I first got into all my push ups and sit ups. I know I can do more now. It didn't occur to me to do it, even though I knew Mike was. For some reason things he does just automatically seem too hard to me, you know? He's so far ahead of me on this stuff, I don't even try to copy him. But then you did it and all of a sudden I think I should give it a try! Are you going to get a KB next...?

From Teena on Thu, Nov 27, 2008 at 01:50:58

Camille,

Man that cake looks to pretty to eat!! I agree with Kelli, you are very talented!! Be careful with the running thing. Wish you lived closer, Kelli and I are going to start a "2-miler" running group!! :) (She says that but she is running 10 on Saturday -- yes, I know you are reading this Kelli)!!

Hang in there Camille. I know what you mean about seeing the runners. Instead of getting sad holler to them. Tell them they look awesome!! It'll cheer you up, and the guy runners start running faster and stronger in correlation to their ego boost!! It's fun.

Spice cake with apple filling sounds so good.

Alright with the assessments! I like to track things and see my improvement or where I've slipped. That way I can tailor my workouts to what works.

From Kelli on Thu, Nov 27, 2008 at 11:42:09

YUP, TEENA, I am reading it. But, I am only ATTEMPTING 10. I may be walking. As soon as the pain kicks in, I am done. But, I like to walk, so no biggie, and I can walk fast.

Camille, that cake looks exquisite. Wish i could ask you to save me a little piece...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you guys for the great comments!

Teena - I wish I lived closer so I could be in the 2 mile club. Maybe I'll be in the 2 mile club via the internet... how does that sound.

Lybi - If you read this... you need to be in the 2 mile club with me!!!

Rachel - You crack me up! I steal ideas from your husband and you steal them from me. :o) Is that a full circle? I'll have to look around for some KBs LOL

Mike - Thank you for letting me steal you ideas. Yesterday was the first day I've done pushups in a long time. I'm totally feeling them today :o).

Eric - I'm sorry... I'm pretty sure the cake will be gone as soon as I pull it out. I hope *I* get a slice!

Kelli - have fun with your awesome run tomorrow. Don't over do it!
