If you've ever wondered how it is that Jun can climb mountains with the greatest of ease...
...it's because he has so much spring in his legs. |

Here's a picture of RAD and Toby. RAD was scheduled to be induced Tuesday. I haven't heard anything yet other than it was a little boy. Strange when you don't hear from RAD. That girl never stops talking.

This morning I felt like doing a fast mile. I wasn't sure how it would work out, but I felt pretty good. Let me take that back. It was hard, but I'm good with the time.
Splits - 8:25, 6:41, 8:52
Now if I can just string 26 6:41's together... |

I wanted to run double digits today, but I got up way too late. I was going to get up at 5am, but at 4am I heard my dog barking. I got up and saw she had no water. Anyway, I knew I didn't want to get up in one more hour, so I slept in. I finished my run at noon and it was 101 degrees out. I ran along the Consolidated Canal. Saw a bunch of big fish in the canal. I took a GU chomp every 2 miles. After 4 miles I decided it was time to turn around. Now the wonderful headwind that was keeping me cool was no longer there, and guess what. It was hot! Luckily, I wasn't too far from Freestone Park, so I finished off my water and refilled. Then I went the rest of the way home stopping occasionaly to cross the street and once under the US60 underpass because of the wonderful shaded relief.
