I decided it was time.  I'm  just getting too fat and lazy.  Having not being able to run due to my ankle, I've gotten even fatter and lazier.  A couple of weeks ago I picked something up that was heavy, but nothing I haven't picked up before.  Well, because I'm so out of shape, my back started to hurt.  So, even though my ankle was just about ready to run on again, now I couldn't run because of my back.  I'm getting old.

Fast forward to today.  I didn't feel great, but you have to start somewhere.  I got dressed and went outside to stretch.  My legs are so tight, and my ankle snapped, crackled, and popped every time I would rotate it in a circle.  I ran as slow as humanly possible.  I was barely catching up to the walkers.  But over all, it was okay.

It's been nice not running for a while.  I've really gotten a lot more work done.  I've been able to do other things.  But I can't just get fat for the rest of my life.  There's always a trade off.

Surprisingly my pace today was a lot faster than Friday.  It didn't feel like it.  I feel so sore.  And old.

Today's pace was even faster than yesterday's.  It's not saying much, but it is saying something.  I didn't feel  quite as bad either.

There are a lot of people out.  Our governor has issued a mandatory lockdown starting tonight at 5pm.  Governor, you can shut down our economy, but you can't shut down our American spirit!  Just kidding.  Anyway, it is nice to see a lot of people out trying to be active.  I think that's important.
