PM - 6 miles on a really nice day - ran a good bit faster than I had planned - but felt strong and just went with it.

AM - I had planned to do a 5k race this morning (literally 8 local races to choose from) but went to bed with GI issues that were there when I awoke and my legs were feeling some strain from yesterday's impromptu fast pace run - so I went back to bed; got up late made waffles and late morning went on a nice run with Riley and with Finn.

AM - just about 4 miles with Finn this morning.  Ran into Dan with his dog in White Columns and ran with him a bit.

PM - lunchtime - had just enough time for a short-ish tempo effort of 4 miles at what used to be my goal marathon pace of 6:50 per mile on the treadmill.

PM - Super easy 4.25 miles on treadmill at lunchtime.  Legs/feet were giving indications last night that I needed some rest today.

PM - lunchtime treadmill workout:  8 x 400 @ "fast as I can go and still finish the workout" effort with a 400 rest/jog.  Ended up at a pace of about 5:20 per mile on the last few after starting out just under 6 min pace.  Find that I can tolerate much of anything for 80 to 90 seconds.   HR doesn't have time to build much past lactate threshold in that short of a period even at that pace.    Pleased with the workout.  Sort of feeling as though my leg speed/strength is making good progress in its return.
