AM - in Rome, I met my daughter, Riley and her boyfriend, Arturo,  for a run a really beautiful park called Villa Borghese gardens.  Ran up the Spanish Steps and meadered around the park.  Her boyfriend doesn't speak English - and I don't speak much Italian, so Riley translated.  She had 2 semesters of Itialian in college, but in the last 2-3 months she's been there, it would appear that she's become pretty fluent in the language.

I'd keep my eye on Arturo.

Why do I have a crystal clear picture of him in my mind?

You know it Rob. He's actually a pretty nice kid. His parents came up by train from Naples on Sunday to meet us for lunch. Only spoke Italian. Riley translated, as they described the importance of family...no joke...at that precise time, a street musician playing accordian next to our table began the theme of the Godfather. Cannot make that up.

Easily one of my all-time favorite posts, Bret. Rob's comment (I knew he would have something to say) only makes it that much better.

Woah . . . then I read yours!
