AM - nice morning - ran over to the high school track for a warm up of about 2.5 miles then did 3 x 800 @ and average of 2:49 - Satisfied with the workout - but did not felt great or like I was floating through the effort - enjoyed an easy cool down and made waffles when I got back home.  Plan to head up to Brooksville later, as I have a friend doing a 50 mile race "Fools Run" - on the Croom Trail.

Sounds like a good day.

When are you going to Paris?

From Bret on Sun, Apr 08, 2012 at 20:03:13 from 96.243.160.29

Heading out on Tuesday afternoon. Weather reports for Sunday look really good - low 42 high 53.

When is your flight to Boston? BTW - I never got my card from the BAA - so don't worry about picking up my number and shirt.

My friend ended up DNF'ing at mile 32 due to a possible broken toe - so I never made it out there. Saw that Mark from the blog had an outstanding run of 8:30 or so. Great race for him.

Hmmm... I'll try and get your stuff without it.

I don't get into Boston until around 11 Saturday night. Staying at the Comfort Inn Logan Airport so that should be easy.

Sounds like you'll have plenty of time to adjust to the time change.

Just diagnosed myself - plantar fascitis - left foot.

Never had that before, but I think I can deal with it this week if I'm smart. Running shoes with my coat and tie all week. Lecturing sitting down!

Now there's a plan...also include not dwelling on, reading about or self diagnosing any more potential injuries.

From dugco on Mon, Apr 09, 2012 at 07:22:52 from 199.44.94.59

Yes, gotta watch the self diagnoses - I once decided I had an inflamed fallopian tube but it was appendicitis :)

Seriously, pf aint nothin' (ice, stretch, wear cushy shoes) Rock on, Murphy!

So wait, Bret, you're running Paris and Rob's at Boston this weekend - man, you guys are just too cool. I think I will run 2.62 miles Sunday just to support you. Good luck, guys!

Thanks Doug - appreciate the support. LOL
