PM - x training equivalent of 11 miles.  15 miles on the cycleops indoor bike trainer and then 6500 meters of indoor rowing.  I am in cross training purgatory.

PM - aboutn 9-10 mile equivalent of running via cross training.  A little over 11 miles of indoor cycling trainer - and 7000 meters of indoor rowing.

AM - indoor rowing - 11,500 meters - or slightly over 7 miles.  Since this generally is working out to be about the same amount of time I would take to run the same distance depending on the effort and HR - I am giving it a 1:1 for equivalency.  If I was better at rowing, perhaps it'd be different.  But I am a novice ... hoping to remain so, as it would mean I have healed up enough to resume running.

PM - swimming - roughly 800 to 1000 meters.  Indoor pool at the fitness gym next to my office.  First time swimming laps in years, it seems.  The extent of how profoundly unfit for swimming I am, was promptly evident.  Oh my.... the struggle.

AM - cross training -- 10 miles of indoor cycle trainer; 5000 meters of indoor rowing.  11 degrees (-3 degrees wind chill) outside this morning.  For once, I don't mind a morning of not being able to go out to run.

PM - cross training - a little over 12 miles of cycling on a cool afternoon - 42 degrees.  Decent ride but my toes were too cold to enjoy it very much.  Also, 1 hour of wood chopping.  Yes - I am counting the chore of splitting wood for an hour.

AM - cross training - 8 miles on the indoor cycling trainer and 5000 meters of indoor rowing.  Actually think the left foot is aching from the rowing session I did yesterday.  It is non-impact, but does require pressure/force and flexing of the feet...So I did less rowing today.

AM - tested out the foot today for 10 mins. on the golf course.  Felt no discomfort during the run/jog - will await the next few hours to see if there is any reaction.  Will plan to try 10 mins every other day unless I start feeling some discomfort.  Want to gradually introduce it.

PM - about 24 miles of outdoor cycling.  Good bit colder this week than last.

Took the day off - unfortunately - the foot did have some bother to it late yesterday and intermittantly today.  Not exactly pain or discomfort - but not nothing, which I had hoped. Anyway - we took Delaney out for brunch to Milton's - for her birthday as she came home from school for the weekend with us.   My last year of having a teen-aged daughter...

AM - cross training - indoor cycling of about 8 miles.  Tired.  Tracy has had the flu for several days, and she's been up at nights coughing - and as a result - I have too.  Fully expect to get the bug myself eventually.  Looking as though there will be lots of weather just to the north and east of us.  ATL just missing out on the real winter weather this time around.

PM - cross training still - 1600 meters of swimming at lunchtime.  Outside pool today - water temp was 82, but outside temps were in the low 40's and windy making for a chilly surface.
