I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

For cardio I did:

5 seconds jumping jacks

10 seconds high knees

20 seconds jumping jacks

30 seconds high knees

40 seconds jumping jacks

50 seconds high knees

40 seconds jumping jacks

30 seconds high knees

20 seconds jumping jacks

10 seconds high knees

5 seconds jumping jacks

Then I did 3 planks for 30 seconds each and 3 wall sits for 30 seconds

I also took a bikram yoga class

I ran the cottonwood heights thanksgiving 5k. It took me 30:13 which is way faster than i expected to go or even thought i could go so I was really happy with it especially with it being a hard course.

Then I did 2 sets of 5 squat jumps, 5 plank jump-ins, 3 push-ups

I walked 2 minutes warm-up, then jogged 1 min, walked 1 min, jogged 2 min, walked 2 min, jogged 3 min, walked 3 min, jogged 4 min, walked 4 min, jogged 5 min.

Then I did a few sets of squats: 16, 14, 12, 10
