I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

The team drove down to St. George today on a crowded bus for the meet. Then when we got their I started to warm-up. My race was at three but I was in the third heat so really about 3:15-3:20. I warmed-up one mile slow and a mile of speed changes. Then I changed my shoes and did some strides but the races started late so I was warmed-up to early. Once it was my turn to race I went to the starting line but the starting official didn't put us in order according to seed so I got a bad starting spot and was boxed in at the beggining. During the race my legs were tired and I just couldn't push very hard. I ended up with a 6:11.
