I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

This morning I ran the Navajo Hogan 5k. My legs were very sore before the race, but the ice bath I took last night seemed to have helped. I jogged about a mile before the race with a few strides. It was a very flat course. Me and Susannah were together for about half of the race, but then one of the streets we turned onto had a slight uphill and Susannah pulled about twenty meters ahead of me. I should have fought to stay with her harder, but I didn't. Other than that it was a good race. My time was 20:47. The course was about 100 meters long so that would make my time about 20 seconds faster. In the drawing I won a bike so that was pretty cool.

You should put i-pod speakers on your new bike. I know someone who did that. It was tight!

I was trying to keep up with you, and it was hard! At several points I thought you were going to get ahead of me, so you kept me pushing hard. Good job, it was a fun race and I hope we can push each other in the xc season.
