PR's

5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

somewhere between 13 and 14.  Up or down the whole run, a little asphalt, a little dirt, a little trail.  It was the most beautiful morning to run, seriously, beautiful!  My door is always open for you guys to come and stay and run with me!

Just as I come back home to my fastrunningblog home, I am going to be sporatic again -- I will be traveling the next couple weeks - a lot.

Tuesday: day trip to SF

Thursday - Saturday: Rochester, MN (brrrrr)

Next week Thursday - Monday:  DC, and home via Indianapolis (brrrrr and zzzzz for time change!)

easy (well, uphill but slow) run, because of my travel schedule this week my mileage will be low, but I am rescheduling the best I can :)

AM: 4 easy before a very early meeting -- I am very tired from my quick turn-around trip yesterday -- and then today I have 4 hour meeting, and needed to prepare my talk long into the flight last night.

PM: easy 6 - ran as far as I could before night fell, and my achy body made me stop :)  - traveling all day tomorrow too, so likely no running.

AM: easy 6 on the bike trail in Rochester, MN.  It was chilly, but not bad -- I loved it actually.

PM: Yea, able to squeeze in a short run!

drove from Rochester to Minneapolis after our meeting was over, then out for quick dinner, and drove to the airport to drop of the rental car (my brother is picking me up tomorrow AM, and I did not want to be saddled with trying to drop off the car)

I am the luckiest runner in the world.  I picked the best hotel -- close to the airport, and yet right across the street from the Minnesota Wildlife Refuge -- yes my fastrunningblog friends, that means that I had a beautiful, albeit a little "flat" compared to my usual, trail run this morning! yea!  45F (a little drizzly) - not too many rocks, dirt, on the river .. it was wonderful!
