4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

Yup, another pathetic 1:15 "long" run -- but, it is what I can do these days.  It was 91F and sunny (because I couldn't drag my sorry behind out of bed earlier than 7:30 ;-) ).

Very tired.  Like, really tired.  I am lucky I can run - I remember being injured and not being able to run, and it was bad.  Now, my legs/muscles are co-operating, my body just won't co-operate.

I loved reading the race reports from yesterday -- congratulations fastrunningbloggers, on getting out there and doing the best you could on the day.   I also was able to watch 3 hours of track on TV yesterday -- holy cow, what a lucky day!!

Next week (21st)??  Olympic trials!!! yeaaaaa!  Keeping my fingers crossed for those who don't have the Olympic A standards yet (like Aaron Braun) -- hopefully the trials will be fast and not tactical so that we will see some standards next week too!!

Happy Sunday bloggers.

91 sounds warm. Good for you to get out and get the 8 done in the heat.

You really are amazing to be able to run what you are! I'm glad things are going well for you. Only one week left, right? Oh, and I need to figure out how to watch the trials!!!

Happy Monday! Good job on going so far even though you were so tired.

Bec, you know how it goes, the only thing worse than getting out there, is not getting out there ;-)

RAD - I have two weeks (10 days, M-F) left -- I can't wait for it to be over. I am starting to have quite a few side effects (besides the fatigue), but as long as I can run, I will try not to complain ;-).

Hi Catherine, thank you! I saw a great house the other day -- let me know if Bonnie needs anything!!

great job, bonnie. "pathetic" is the last word i would use to describe what you are doing. just 9 days to go! hang tough.

i am so excited for the track trials. i went out to eugene in 2008 with my dad and that is when i was really turned on to this sport in a whole new way. before that i had much more of a ho hum approach and never really felt the need or saw the purpose of testing my limits. seeing those athletes and their "bodies of work", feeling the energy buzzing through the air, seeing the desire and the drive in their eyes -- it for sure changed my perspective and motivated me like never before. amazing and inspiring athletes. anyway...great memories from that (sorry for the lengthy reminiscing). i can't believe it's been four years already! it should be as exciting as ever in 2012.
