PR's

5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:30:32.  95F but with cloud cover -- which makes all the difference in the world!  I am SO (so so so) happy that I can run 10 miles again!  I felt so good.  The fatigue comes and goes, but when it is gone I feel so much better, I can't believe how lucky I am to feel so good again!!!

It has been a WONDERFUL week -- last week was our visit with friends in Utah, this week was all about track and field EVERY night -- and tomorrow we head for Flagstaff!!  good-bye 110, hello 80s (and lows of 50s!!!).

I wish happy trails, loose muscles, and warm moments with family and friends for you all bloggers!!

So awesome. Glad to hear you're feeling good, and enjoy that cool air.

I am glad you can run 10 too.

Sorry I missed you at Allie's wedding stuff. We went to Lake Powell and the burden of getting packed and our boat ready was just to heavy. :( I am sad I missed you and sad I missed her festivities.

Thanks Joe! I will! I am glad it felt cooler there too!

Lily -- I missed you too, but I completely understand. I am stressed when it is just me who is going away, I can't imagine having to pack for children too! I am glad you had fun at Lake Powell, and now you are back ready to train hard again!

Yipee!!! Wonderful day for a great run Bonnie! I've been too busy to watch the track and field stuff, but have kept up thanks to your updates.

Enjoy the cooler air, 50s in the night make mornings and evenings SO much nicer!

I watched some of the trials last night. My favorite quote (can't remember who said it): "We don't train for second place."

I'm so glad you are feeling a little more energy! Hope you're having a great vacation. :)

Jody - yes that was Wallace Spearman (200m champion) -- it is a great quote!!

Brooke, Congratulations on a new PR! You seriously rock!
