4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

2:03:19 (9:06/8:30).  Doesn't look like much, but it was 91F and sunny when I finished, not an easy run really -- but not horrid either.  At least I finished strong (probably running 7:45 or so the last 2 miles).

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

Yesterday Dean found a snake in our yard (a racer ... not vemonous) he tried to help it over the wall, but was unsuccessful.  He did find his way back where he belongs later in the day; meaning he was not outside looking into my bedroom from the sliding glass door. When I went outside to see if he was actually gone I found a pile of huge feathers -- no carcass just a whole bunch of feathers, they were big.  Apparently a coyote got something -- and I did not even hear or see it ... wow, it is like a National Geographic show right in my backyard!

You are strong Bonnie! As much as I love heat, and absolutely CRAVE it right now, I know it would take some acclimatization. Good job.

Hi Auntie, Happy Mother's Day. I don't like heat, but I am learning to tolerate it somewhat ;-). I would be much happier living where you are ... congratulations on your happy run today with friends!

Bonnie! You are not just a strong runner...you are just a tough cookie all around! I really don't know if I could live with all the critters you have to live with! (not Dean and the doggies!, all the poisonous ones and the eating whole carcass ones!) :)

Thanks for the little Mother's Day wish you sent my way, it felt good to have you take time for me! As my daughter told me in her Mother's Day card to me...."you are not a rock, but you rock!"

he he he ... Kim, it sounds as though your daughter has as cute of a disposition as you do!!

I'd say you have an interesting backyard!

OH NO, it is time for me to start bringing you Popsicles on your daily runs. 91???? Geesh, it was freezing here.

From Bonnie on Mon, May 09, 2011 at 15:15:37 from 128.196.228.134

anything below 70 is "freezing" to me anymore ;-). You are the one who put the whole Popsicle idea into my head a couple of years ago!!

Me and my junk food!!! ;o)

Wow Bonnie do you ever do any of the bandanna with ice on your neck or that kind of stuff?

From Bonnie on Mon, May 09, 2011 at 22:17:37 from 150.135.114.78

I hope you defrost Kelli ;-)

April, I tried that once, it was so hot (and dry) that the ice melted and the bandana dried out in the first 20 mins!! It was crazy! It is my fault for not getting out before the sun comes up. Right now it is really nice in the morning (in the 60s), it is just that by 8AM the sun makes things very hot. During the summer even if you get at 5AM it is still in the 80s ...yuck, I really don't like it then, now it is just a nuisance. You guys get just as hot, it just doesn't last as long (here it is months, with no breaks).

You really are tough. Between the heat and the critters, you are really roughing it down there in Arizona.
