AM: (12 miles, 1:40:37) 27:27wu/23:36cd (same distance for wu and cd!). 3 x 2 miles @ SS pace w/3` recovery (goal pace: 7:16-7:28 -- really, I wanted to hit ~7:20s); actual: 7:21,7:14, 7:17, 7:14, 7:17, 7:01. The last one was faster because the soccer team (men) were on the track and they kept waiting until just when I passed them and then they would sprint and try to pass me, they would run for about 300-350 meters and then stand around and wait for me to come around again and do it again. I shouldn't have run so hard on this one, but I couldn't help it. A few of them caught me on my very last lap -- but it was only 200 meters for them and it was my *last* meters ... I felt like saying to them, "good job - now lets run the 3 miles uphill home!" ... I am glad they did not do it on my first ones, I really enjoyed working on getting into my "zone". PM: 4 miles easy.
Finally, I might be able to take another day off this weekend!! yippee. |
