4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (7.5 miles, 1:06:45).  I was supposed to do a tempo run today, but I am having problems with my hamstrings and after running down to the track, and having the pain not go away with warm-up, I decided to not to make things worse.  I had a massage yesterday, it was definitely inflammed along the whole hamstrings - lower all the way up to the insertion point.   It feels a little better today, so if it feels better by Sunday I will do a fast finish long run which will be about the same training stimulus.

PM: 4 miles easy.

I am trying to figure out how to get up to Phoenix to see John this weekend.  It is tricky because I am supposed to attend a "retreat" at work Saturday from 8-1, I have 45 midterms to grade, 2 grants to work on, and prepare for Monday's lecture ... sigh.  I might play hooky from the retreat if I can get in to see John ... but it still means no naps and no rest (for a very weary Bonnie).

I hope you are all doing well bloggers -- run well, run happy, run safe!

i hope everything is okay with your hamstrings.

sorry about the weariness -- i'm feeling the same way right now. i am *this* close to my breaking point, which means a trip to yosemite is in the near future.

good luck, bonnie.

This is why I could never have a real career; my way of dealing with your workload this weekend: Play hooky from the retreat. Without looking at the mid=terms, grade them all an A-. Just wing it on Monday's lecture. Subsequently get fired for being such a talentless slacker. Wash dishes for a living.

Good luck. I hope the hamstrings are doing better.

Hope the hammies are feeling better with a lil bit of rest...How are you ever going to watch Big 10's, Big12's AND RMAC's with all that on your plate?

JD you are very very clever and funny. I really like you, thank you for making me laugh.

Karen ... don't worry, I know how to set my priorities ;) don't for USA's (ESPN tomorrow 4:30 EST)!

oh ... and Karen, don't get me started on that little so-and-so Rupp ... only because his 10K was cancelled is he bothering to run a US championship race! I hope Lagat races him into the ground.
