Married, we have one daughter so far. I ran for Alta high school and was trained by Rob Murphy, he is a great coach, one of the best there is. I also ran for Southern Utah University.

Warmed up 2 miles and then did a 2 miles in 11:06 (5:31, 5:35), 3-4 minute rest, 1 mile in 5:25.

Lungs still aren't feeling great but they're improving.

Easy run with 1 downhill mile at 5:40 pace. I'm thinking I'll jump into the Huntsville half marathon this weekend, not sure what to expect. I think I'll just go out with the whoever takes the lead and either hang on as long as I can or make a move a few miles in if I feel like I can run faster. I think 72-75 minutes is realistic right now. Before my ankle injury I think I was getting to the point I'd want to take a crack at sub 70 on a course like this but that's will have to wait for next year.

Most painful race of my life by a wide margin. I started having to poop around mile 5 and it just got worse. I started pulling off at every porta potty I could find, I should have just called it a day and relaxed in hindsight but I didn't realize just how bad it would get.

I spent the next 2 hours after the race in a porta potty and eventually started puking and feeling nauseous. Ouch.

The first 5k felt pretty good, ran 16:40 and was feeling it a little in my quads but overall pretty great. First place opened in a sub 5 mile so I just let him go, but he slowed down to finish in 1:11. I think I could have made it pretty close on a better day.
