Married, we have one daughter so far. I ran for Alta high school and was trained by Rob Murphy, he is a great coach, one of the best there is. I also ran for Southern Utah University.

Legs probably weren't recovered enough for this. I did half the workout today, was supposed to be 2x 6 mins, 4 mins, 2 mins with 2 minutes recovery between each. I ran high 5 minute pace for each rep and felt very sore afterwards. I think a bath tonight will make everything feel much better.

Easy run. Tried road running with no brace/tape. Not ready for that quite yet, the back inside of my ankle kept bugging me. My ankle generally still feels fairly loose but that is the only part of it that still hurts.

Warmed up a little over a mile and did 25 minutes of Jake's 28 minute tempo at like marathon pace in the wind. Was a slow tempo but felt rough. Had to stop a couple of times to stretch my ankle, not a great tape job today.

Really hoping that by the end of August I'll be feeling 100% and as fast as I was in June.

Ran into Jake and Kolten on my way to the track, ran with them over to Koltens house and did a short lifting session with front squats, split squats, calf raises, weighted one legged deadlifts. Then I ran over to the park with Whitney.

Ankle felt good today, no pain. Felt a little unstable on the split squats and single legged deadlifts but it's certainly improving.

I think I'll go for 8 miles tomorrow to get to 30 for the week and if that feels good I'll try to hit 6-8 every day next week and do 10-12 miles next Saturday. Hopefully I can get back to doing some downhill tempos, only 3 months out from big bear so if I'm going to race that I need 10 weeks at 50 mpw+ and start building up my long runs.

Long run with Jake, ran into Kolten for the last couple miles. I felt pretty sore from lifting yesterday and also generally fatigued from staying up way too late last night.

Ankle felt good during the run but not while carrying a vanity upstairs.
