Course record for the peach days 5k! Most years it's won in like 16:30-17:30 and this year there were 7 people sub 17 and 2nd place was also sub 16. So a little harder to win than I'd expected.

I went out with Jake and Spencer before they continued on to the 10k route and I turned off for the 5k, and to my surprise like the entire pack of guys that were right behind us all followed me for the 5k. I kept hoping to drop them but just managed to put a few seconds of distance on 2nd place per mile, which did the trick.

I've now won 3 races this year which has been a lot of fun. Probably would have been 4 if I'd made it to the starting line yesterday... I'll get it next year haha.
