2015 Alta Track Athlete of the Year
Short-Term Running Goals:
Stay healthy and and build mileage
Get faster
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep running
Run the Boston Marathon at least once
Personal:
Married, we have one daughter so far. I ran for Alta high school and was trained by Rob Murphy, he is a great coach, one of the best there is. I also ran for Southern Utah University.
Easy 4 pre-meet miles. I was sore today but should feel great tomorrow. My plan is to run 5:25 for each of the first 3 miles, maybe a little faster for mile 3. I will start my kick towards the end of mile 3. That should get me a time around 16:30

Good luck Blake. The second mile is downhill and quite a bit faster than the first and third. Use it to your advantage and catch a lot of people!

Thanks for the advice! That will definitely help, I also need to make sure I start at a steady pace. See you at the race!
