Bad day. And I could have done this workout better when I was a freshman, not exaggerating. I'm out of shape.

Every one has a bad day. Hang in there. I have been reading your entries on here, and I am sure you have a sub 16 3 miles in you this season. Hang in there and focus!

This summer/fall, my workouts have been slower than I've run in the past. Something it's easy to think - "man, I could do this 'X' amount faster in 2011/2012". But then you can think about that another way - I've been training and building up for years and years. I have all that behind me to make me a stronger runner. Just like YOU - maybe you could run a specific workout on a good day faster as a freshman... who cares? You've been training for 3-4 years and getting stronger and faster that whole time, even though there are ups and downs. You had a bad workout - who cares? No one gives medals out for workouts. Think about the accumulation of training you've done for a LONG time... and find a way to believe in that... channel it... then go out and BLAZE at regions!
