| I guess that's a decently fast 5k, but I'm honestly not to proud of it. I wanted to break 17 minutes, and literally came so close and failed. I think I started out the race ok, but my second mile was a bit too slow, and messed me up for the rest of the race I think. Part of the problem was that I was scared to fail. Before the race my mentality was just kind of that this race didn't matter, and that I was just going to run off my watch and not worry about what other people are doing. I ran ok, I pushed myself while I was running, but I should have pushed up and ran with a couple of guys that I'm normally right with during workouts, but I didn't. I didn't want to race, I wasn't competitive. I need to change this and just put myself out there. Who cares what time I hit if I go out there and compete? I need to care less about that for sure haha.

| Nice 7 mile run today with a kid named Josh Dvorak. You know, my knee was hurting a little bit during the run, and is still nagging me. It's really similar to last year after the marathon, and it's just a little bit frustrating. That kinda makes me think maybe it has never been 100% better from when I hurt it, but also, does it need to be better? Like it really doesn't hurt that much, I just don't want to aggravate things and make them worse. Also, today I signed up for an ultra marathon in March down in stg. It should be really fun, and Sam is going to do it too, so that will make it even better! I'm feeling more positive and determined about running than I was a couple of days ago, I just want to work hard and not have any more 0 days up through this race. It's a good goal, lets see what we can do!

| Nice trail run, it was actually kinda warm, so I took my shirt off and everything! Knee hurt quite a bit less, so that was a good sign.
