I guess that's a decently fast 5k, but I'm honestly not to proud of it. I wanted to break 17 minutes, and literally came so close and failed. I think I started out the race ok, but my second mile was a bit too slow, and messed me up for the rest of the race I think. Part of the problem was that I was scared to fail. Before the race my mentality was just kind of that this race didn't matter, and that I was just going to run off my watch and not worry about what other people are doing. I ran ok, I pushed myself while I was running, but I should have pushed up and ran with a couple of guys that I'm normally right with during workouts, but I didn't. I didn't want to race, I wasn't competitive. I need to change this and just put myself out there. Who cares what time I hit if I go out there and compete? I need to care less about that for sure haha.
