Monroe your boat run this morning. Welcomed a couple new runners this morning to our group which was awesome. Legs were a little tired from Saturdays tempo but for the most part feeling pretty darn good.

I last week of hard training and will begin the small taper next week. Getting pretty excited and nervous,

Excited and nervous are my exact feelings too. Looks like you won't be doing much of taper? Does your body just race better without too big of a taper?

Taylor in years past a shorter taper just seems better for my body. If I taper longer I tend to feel stale on race day. So I tend to taper just for a 1 week instead of the 2-3 week as suggested.

That's great you've figured out what works for ya. Hopefully I don't come to the realization that I should have tapered more or less haha.
