Warmed up 3, two with younger siblings, 1 at the track. It took untill 7:30 for my race to start. It was after the two girls heats and I was in the slow heat. We tried to get me into the fast heat, but were unable due to my lack of a mark.  The first 800 was in 2:48. I was following the leaders. Then my Dad yelled at me to get out of there. I did. I hit the mile in 5:31, the next 800 in 2:42, and finished in 2:30 (78. 72). Last 1600 5:14. I lapped most of the field. Toward the end, when I started lapping people, a group of spectators started cheering "Go Crocs!" That helped a lot. I finished in 10:46. Eighth overall. The winner of the fast heat did 10:08. Admittedly, I was in the wrong heat, but it was fun to destroy the field. I qualified for 1-A in state.
