To be fair, that route is at least 50% your creation. And it evolved over time as we found more and more dirt and ways to extend the distance. Evolved is a good term for what happens to routes actually. Changes are often by chance or whim (construction detour, going backwards one day) and the best changes are preserved if possible. We just need to incorporate some sort of route recombination, reversals, transposition, and deletions and then it would even be more realistic. I wrote more about this, but I decided that I am a dork and would leave it at that.

i know but Haynes classic just has a nice ring to it. you need to put on a race and call it that. well, you know how strongly i feel about that already. the rest is up to you. the route is for sure more mine...

i am a true mastermind

This is a bit disturbing. I didn't get on the front page of the mileage board for last week. And you didn't get on the top page for the last month cumulative page. These people are serious. 70mpw isn't cutting it. Well, it almost is. 72 is enough. If it weren't for that *#&$ Cheston. He refuses to change his blogging of cycling miles. He has done one workout so far this week--a 50 mile bike ride. That is already a large majority of the miles I will run in a whole week. And yet 2 of my runs this week will take longer than that bike ride took.

we should just start putting in driving mileage as easy miles. I mean you have to put your foot down and use your arms to steer. Some of us even have to drive manual transmissions and is even more strenuous. it might be fun to get a reaction to end the bike mileage being posted. i mean i drove over 200 miles the last 2 days...didn't even drink or eat anything...pretty tough workout
