Red Rock Relay

1st run - 4.6 gradual uphill the whole way.  The hill did not get me here - it was the high elevation that slowed me down a little on this run.  My lungs were burning!  This was at about 9500 ft.  I managed to keep the run around 8:40 which was slower than I was hoping for, but I know I worked hard.  I passed 2 people on this run. Luckily someone at the top of my run let me use a few puffs of his inhaler - grateful for that or I would have been coughing all night.

Midnight run - 3.6 miles - I felt great on this run.  This was a gradual, but slightly steaper hill heading from Enterprise up into Dixie National Forest.  The elevation was high, but nothing like the last run.  around 6000 ft.  I tried not to look at my watch and just judge my speed based on how I was feeling. I know I was working hard and it felt great.  I passed 11 people on this run, I was motivated by each red light up ahead of me and I worked to catch up with them.  My pace ended up being 8:10 which for me is good going uphill.
