AM ran with the East XC team, did the run for air 5K up and Back, then a grass lap around the park. Cool down lap on road around the park. 10.50 PM 6.10 miles Jeep of kids missed hitting me with a couple of water balloons. It made me jump big time because it was after dark. One came inches from my head at high speed. Changed my route because I saw they turned up a street, so I followed but never saw them again. I know there out just having fun, but they could hurt something or someone with the speed behind those water balloons. | Add Comment |

AM 10 miles on Pipeline with XC team, the kids are running great. We have a good young group that continues to surprise me. It is going to be a great year. PM 8 miles on Pipeline, Kim wanted to do her run in the cooler canyon so we headed up millcreek again in the evening. From Burch to Rattlesnake Gulch and Back, then headed some to hit a full 8. | Add Comment |

AM XC team at Liberty Park, warm up with some strides and two half miles, 2:43, 2:42. 6.5 miles total. PM 3laps at Liberty in the evening. Dark and alone 4.5 miles 33:02 11 total for the day. Decided to back off so I would have a 12 mile run left for tomorrow to try getting at least a few longer runs in. Think I will hit Little Mountain in the AM tomorrow before the heat. | Comments(1) |

| AM Decided to follow what I had planned the night before and went to the D-News Course to run today. Started at the six mile mark at the East Canyon/ Little mountain junction and ran up Little mountain, up the pine crest turn around then down Emigration to the 18 mile mark on Wasatch. Was nervous about all the down hill and didn't want to beat my legs up too much so the plan was to just lean and try to save the legs, but that is hard to do on this course. Pushed some on the flatter stretches and overall it seems the mile markers came very quickly. Tons of bikers out. 12 miles total 1:24.12 so not too fast and the uphill for the first 1.5 or so miles does slow the average pace. Hit the first 90 mile week for a long time. So two weeks into my training I am happy about hitting my mileage goal. Just planning to work on aerobic base stuff with very little if any real speed work. | Add Comment |
