I am increasing my potassium, i think that is what my body needs to get over the IT and foot issue.

The IT band is sores a potassium increase really won't fix it. You need to figure out what going on with the running form. It's either a shoe problem or form issue. Potassium just rebuilds muscle fatigue you've lost while working out.
