Real happy to get this run in. I have had this on my schedule for several weeks, but no time to get it in. I needed an endurance baseline. Last run of the year and the longest one, I think! I aimed for 20, but at the 10 mile turn around felt great so I kept going. I was worried about the pace, especially since it was on my mind how long it took me when I was starting marathoning to hit the 3 hour marathon, the 7 min pace. It was a neat experience today to run through the 26.2 mark at just under 3 hours and feel great. I slowed up after that 15 seconds a mile for the rest. Two Mt. Dews on the run and a package of peanut butter crackers. |
