I have raised two running children, one competitive and one not.

I have learned to run in ice and snow and I don't complain.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work towards a faster marathon by Spring 2012.

Get my 5K down to 21:30.

Place in my division at duathlon and triathlon.

Train for biathlon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Joining Forrest Gump

The longest run since last Sunday!  I went slow, and the leg was not hurting, but my hip felt a little "out".  Once again, my garmin did something funny the first mile, creating a long average time, what's up with garmin?  Splits:  12:31, 8:49, 9:49, 9:27, 9:04, 9:28.

I spent a long time with hip alignment exercises when I got home, plus abs, stretching, squats, shoulder exercises, etc.  Its pouring rain now, but I missed it!

Tomorrow will be a really long day in the care; going to Pasco for State XC Championships (my daughter).  Five hour drive each way!  Should be an exciting race though!

Edit:  Added a few XC miles on the bike.  I'll try to run tomorrow during one of the more boring races.  There are eight races, and my daughter is in only one, so I should be able to find a break somewhere.

I'm glad your leg is feeling better. I have no idea about your Garmin.

I didn't know your daughter was a XC runner. And going to the state meet! Congratulations and good luck to her and safe travels to you all.

Thanks, Sno and Carolyn. Yeah, she's a runner. A pretty good one. I should get my sprinting in running around the course!

Wow that's a lot of driving!

Don't know about the garmin. Have tried deleting everything from the watch?

Safe travels.

There you go auntieem. That's some good miles.

I don't want to be the one to ask the obvious, but I will. Are you making sure it locates satelites first?

Wish your daughter luck!
