So I missed 3 days of running, including a long run.  We had a great vacation though!

Today was Addy's 1st day of school.  After dropping her off, I headed to the gym.  My goal was to go as far as I could until Kids Corner closed.

I started off at an 8:20 pace thinking I'd get 9, maybe 10 miles in.  As I got warmed up I felt I could run a bit faster.  I gradually increased my pace and did the last 3 at a 6:35 pace.  It felt ok, I didn't want to go any faster though.  Good music made up for the crappy stuff on TV.  I read an article about a lady who memorized "The Living Christ" while running.  I took a copy of it, but could not read it.  The text was too small and I seemed to really be bouncing as I ran.  Maybe I'll try it again with a bigger copy.  I thought it was a great idea though!

Mile repeats at Mary's.  Beautiful crisp Fall day!  Didn't feel like doing speed work, but glad now it's over.  Ipod played only the harmony and bass, it was weird,  felt  had to fill in the melody out loud--so I did (sometimes)!

6:46, 6:51, 6:30, 6:49, 6:29

Ran slow 10-20 seconds between intervals.

Up at 5 and started run from my house.  Did a 2 mi out and back while waiting for M&M.  Then we ran to their house for a gu break.  We did a 4 mile loop and stopped at the cider mill for a yummy doughnut and some cider.  Then we did another loop from M&M's, then back to my house. Did about a 9:40 pace. The last couple were a bit faster,  anxious to be done!'

The rest of the day was nonstop, Addy's soccer game, then to Erwin Orchards for her B-day party, then babysitting in the evening.  The power was out that evening and night as well...that was an adventure!
