Mary and I did a 50 min. paced run at 5AM.  My watch died 1/2 way through, so we tried to beat the 25 min. it took to get out on our out-and-back course.  We did it by 1 minute, plus it was uphill on the way home! I think we did just about an 8 min. pace, maybe slightly faster.

"800's."  If you can call them that.  Tried doing them pushing the kids around my neighborhood.  1st one was 4:23.  Hmmm.  Ran to the park and let them play while I did 3 more. 3:31, 3:31, 3:29.  Rough terrain, but exactly .25 miles around the field.  Addy made up obstacle courses for me to do in between the repeats.  Quite challenging.  Really!  Mom called after being on a trip abroad for a week, so walked it home while we caught up. The run was another "better than nothing" workout:)

Visiting Heather in NY!  Ran on her complex TM 4 miles at 11pm.  Wanted to farther but felt like I should go check on my kids.  Just as I got up to the room, I heard Hope fall off the bed.  I got to in just enough time that she didn't wake up all the other sleepers.  Mothers intuition, or somethin!:)  The run felt great, got a blazing high which has been lacking for awhile.

Pushed Hope and Lincoln on the "Rail Trail," a beautiful trail here in NY.  Hope lasted 2 miles before she started pounding on Lincoln.  We turned back and hit the park on the way home.  I feel lucky to get these 2 runs in!  If possible, I'll try an early morning long run at Heather's parents cottage where we're staying tonight.  We'll see how things go.
