AM-Easy 6 miles this morning on the parkway. No time or hr. Just enjoying the view.

PM-"Minutes" today with 10x one minute on, one minute off then jogging at 7:30-8/min pace. Then 5 min hard at 5k effort.  8 miles total with 3 VO2 max miles.  7th and parkway trail.

I think I'm just going to do 10 miles today in light of the race this weekend. I felt really good this morning and so I decided to get my LT run in. Jack Daniels has had his athletes do consecutive hard workouts in order to allow 3-4 full days of recovery before a race. I can see the wisdom in this as long as you don't overdo it on any one day. 4 mile Progression run at 5:36 to 5:15 with last mile in 5:06. 85-95% mhr. Parkway.

AM-Easy 6 miles today on the mill. 6:09/mi avg. 4x1 min with 1 min recovery at 1:15-1:17 for economy and form practice.  Parkway trail and 7th east loop. Slightly hilly. 

PM-No run, just rest for the half and leading up to the marathon.

AM-Easy 6 miles with a half mile in 2:34 on the trail. 6-6:45/mi. Felt really easy today. Having a hard time holding back and I feel like kicking the barn door in!

By the way is there anyone that I can ride up with tomorrow to the Striders Half ?  I live in Sandy, Utah. Thanks!

AArgh!!!! I don't know what else to say. A frustrating and tough race today overall.

Took a wrong turn and lost 3-4 min somewhere. I turned left at somewhere between mile 11-12 and did not figure out what was going on until I realized HEY!!! I can 't see Logan anymore! Oh jeez... I turned around and finished the race, and after motioning to Clyde next to me, proceeded to relieve myself of Gatorade orally. Sorry, It's what happened. Oh well I did the best I could. Teren and Logan were just awesome and after mile two I knew I had better back off or else. Clyde is really starting to improve again and I soon expect to be running neck and neck with him sometime soon. But all in all it was really fun though... Dark Horse out.

PS-Sorry about the 5th grade writing quality, I was in a hurry. Dark Horse out...
