Went for a single 10 mile run this evening instead of running this morning. I figured it would be better to walk in the morning a few miles instead to recover from last nights mile repeats. This proved to be effective as I was surprisingly fresh by late afternoon. Follwed what my body wanted to do and ran at 6/min pace for 3 miles plus one mile at 5:38/mi. It always amazes me what just one quality speed workout does to my body neurologically. Not increased fitness per say, it's just that my body was tuned in it's form or something. 10 miles total with 4 miles at 80-85% mhr. 6 miles at 60-70% mhr. |
