Enjoy running and racing at whatever level I am able to. Possibly run another marathon post Microfracture Surgery in under 3:00.

I'm in the Army. I am married with four children (20/17/13/8 years old). Trying to return to previous running form after having microfracture knee surgery in July 2008.

Well, Sasha drug me along on a 5 mile easy but painful run. My quads are pretty torn up and painful the whole run but slowly got better as we went. We averaged about 7:51 for the 5 miles and Sasha was headed out for 5 more. He said he plans on doing his normal tempo run tomorrow. I will not be doing any tempos this week that is for sure. Probably another easy 5 miles tomorrow is all I will be up for. I plan on taking this week easy and then trying to get things going again next week.

Way to work through the soreness Ted from your marathon this weekend. I think active recovery is good. I've heard good and bad about it. Nice average for a recovery run. Downhill courses love to beat up the quads. But man! you had an awesome time, and what you did motives me to run well.

Yeah, I totally echo Paul. I am not running today either. More mental than anything, I need a break after two marathons and a 30k.
