Enjoy running and racing at whatever level I am able to. Possibly run another marathon post Microfracture Surgery in under 3:00.

Personal:

I'm in the Army. I am married with four children (20/17/13/8 years old). Trying to return to previous running form after having microfracture knee surgery in July 2008.

AM - Standard Sasha House 10 Miler with Sasha and Adam. Very easy relaxed run today. Although I am coming down with a cold or something as my throat was very sore all night and this morning and my glands are swollen. I'm goign to hit the Emergen C pretty good and hope to just get over it quickly. The good thing this morning is that my legs felt good. They were not tired at all from yesterday. We averaged 7:25 pace with the second 5 in 35 minutes. Only 2 more miles tonight so a low mileage day of 12 miles today.

PM - 2 miles with kids. Sick as a dog and it stinks!

Sorry , I got your post too late this morning. It's probably just as well. I was planting flower bushes all day yesterday on the complex and then with all the errands I had to run in the evening I was really tired and slept in. Unfortunately, I don't get naps anymore lately so I sleep in on the weekend. You will have to rest more also Ted, You know as well as I do that cold is telling you something.

Swollen glands are one indicator also. I know this from past experience. Your legs can still be full with glycogen but systemically you can be out of whack still. This type of overtraining sounds like it might have been brought on by chronic sleep deprivation over time. When I worked the night shift I experienced this at times.
