Could this day be more beautiful? I don't think so. Absolutely perfect. Studied and cleaned up in the morning and went out around 2 pm - went down the mall to Hains Point, it's not the same now that the awesome sculpture"the awakening" is gone... then back out, over the 14th st. bridge (aka broken jaw bridge), on the Mt. Vernon trail to Rosslyn, cross the bridge and back home the long way.  Felt GREAT. Took some G2 in my little backpack and drank it along the way, and had 2 blocks around mile 10. I was able to sprint the last few miles; the average was 9:30 min/miles, which is what I was shooting for. Now off to my Indian friend's indian foodfest, then to my Turkish friend's birthday. As much as I miss the mountains, it's so cool to have friends from all different cultures and nationalities here! Have a great weekend everyone!

I had a friend that I grew up with that was called to serve a mission in Brazil. When he was at the Missionary Training Center in Provo he broke his ankle. They ended up reassigning him to DC. At first he was bummed, but after his two years he said that DC is the most foreign mission in the world.

A foodfest AFTER a long run, life does not get any better than that! I am so glad you had a great run!!!
