I have a race this evening, the Bastille Day 4-miler. Last year I ran 3 miles slowly to the start line, ran the race, and ran back to the office... This year I'd like to get a PR so maybe I should bike to the start line instead, or at least bike 2 miles and run only 1 mile as a warm-up? Thoughts?
I ran it in 30:57 last year, 7:44 min/miles... I'd like to do 7:30 min/miles this year...

Too busy at work, couldn't get out in time to make it to the race. Didn't even have time for a proper lunch, so it probably was a good idea not to run it. Very upsetting. Got off finally at 7 pm, went for a run on the "Montelepsy loop". Feeling very sluggish, but pushed on. Garmin of course doesn't account for elevation or for difficult trails, so it shows a very slow pace. Don't care. Made it back to the office and biked to Chevy Chase. |
