FINALLY some miles! Inauguration fun all day - I stayed away from the crowds and watched it at home with my friend Sangeeta - it was very emotional to see the crowds, the first Black president, the first president I voted for and is going into office since I became a U.S. citizen, the entire country coming together in support of a new head of state, with great hopes that he will listen to the people and do his best to help the economy, the war, and so many other things that we need to fix right now!

After watching the speech and parade I headed out to the Congressional Cemetery for a few easy miles. Feeling pretty good! Now off to do my stretches! It's going to be a great week full of quality miles!

Yay for the run! You are very lucky to be in the mecca of all the excitement :) You were ever so smart to stay away from the masses! :)

All the spotlight are pointing at Washington. Even way down here in Mexico, all the talk is about Obama.

Sounds like you had a nice trip, now get back to work! =)

Washington must have been awesome yesterday. I agree with marion. Smart to stay away from the throngs of people. I think you should get extra points for sneaking in a run! :) Hope today is awesome!

I was waiting to find out how things were shaking for you there in DC. Very cool. And you even got in some running.:) Alot of talk and the majority of what I am hearing is all good about Obama.

It was very crazy, but very great. I could see the masses of people from the corner of my house, but I'm far away enough, and to the other side of the commotion, so it wasn't too bad. My run was around the RFK stadium, where all the busses parked and people took the metro from there, so it was a bit crazy.

I am usually very skeptical when someone is idealized as much as Obama, but I am also hopeful!
