so I am gonna break it down and be honest. this was a good race, despite the far cry from last year. Its been a rough go, I got divorced, sat on my porch all summer and smoked. weak, pathetic. at the very end of July I started running again. no real training for the last 11 weeks but last minute decision, came out and ran my hometown marathon. no watch, no splits, just ran....just to run, and be me. It. was. great. most painless marathon i have ever ran. felt great from beginning to end. honestly i think i dogged it because it felt too good. no crash, no wall. I am excited to get back into real shape for spring because there is hope, there is hope. |
